03/30/2011
LOS ANGELES, January 18, 2011 -- GreenBar Collective, home of the world's largest portfolio of handcrafted, organic spirits, today announced its second BAR KEEP Bitters Challenge. The contest to find the next two flavors for the company's BAR KEEP aromatic bitters line will focus on discovering the best bitters made by California and Texas bartenders. The winning bartenders will have their bitters recipes produced and sold nationally by GreenBar Collective, as well as share in profits from their sales.
Submissions from California and Texas bartenders are due by March 15, 2011. On May 1, GreenBar Collective will announce three finalists per state to compete at live contests in their respective states. Final judging will take place in Los Angeles and Austin June 1-15. Rules and entry forms are available at greenbar.biz/barkeep.html.
"Bartenders are some of the most inventive people we know," says Melkon Khosrovian, co-founder and spiritsmaker at Modern Spirits, home of the GreenBar Collective. "With BAR KEEP, we can give their handiwork a wider audience."
Khosrovian will work with the winning bartenders to formulate and produce their aromatic bitters as certified organic products for commercial sale.
